A delighfull local wine from Vendome (41), France.

Nothing bragging of course. This is just a local table wine.

Just think of a warm summer, you are outside, having dinner with a nice salad and grilled meat from the barbecue. What could be then better than a cool glass of rose wine.

The coteaux du Vendomois, rose but they call it gris (grey), is a cheap and really pleasant wine.

You will get it everywhere here. Supermarkets, bars, restaurants, they all have it.

This typical wine from the Vendome region, is made with pineau d’Aunis grapes and has a mineral and pepper little taste.

They make red and white as well. Red is a mix of Pineau d’Aunis, Cabernet, Gamay or Pinot noir. The white is from Chenin.

You could visit the vineyards and the cellars as well.

Carefull, it is alcool, behave…
