One of the first hostels in America from the year 1620, protected by the Anthropology and History National Institute, has been transformed into the Hotel De CORTES. A Mexican baroque jewel fully remodeled that offers upscale lodging services. Located in the main entrance of the Historical Centre, overlooking the Alameda Central and a few steps away from the main square, this place is a unique concept in town.

The outside frame of “1620 Restaurant”, surrounded by the Patio, is the half part. The interior atmosphere with wood details and original stone creates an atmosphere that invites to taste delicious dishes as an haute cuisine great example.

Exquisite Mexican fusion cuisine. Colors, textures and flavors accentuate the variety and quality of the ingredients, with the unique gastronomic style of the Executive Chef. Service is really nice with a good wine selection. I have very much enjoyed this fine dinner out of the noise of the big city of Mexico.

After dinner we went to “El cielo de Cortes Lounge bar”. A great place, on the roof of the hotel, where you will enjoy a cocktail with resting in some very confortable sofas. Hope you like lounge music. The view over the park is very nice.

Hotel De CORTES features 26 rooms and suites that blend contemporary, modern and avant garde elements with the air of classic sophistication and timeless elegance that boast their entire facilities. The rooms are big, very well equiped with modern bathrooms. No door but a large curtain will give you intimity.
