I am very lucky to live in Montoire sur le Loir as we have twice a week a little food market. Everything you need will be there.
A meal is a ceremony to the French. And how could you not have cheese after a good meal ?
On the market, Wednesday and Saturday, there is a artisan producer Mr Gaec Boucher-Ouvrard, from Villersfaux near Montoire, who sells his products and only that. It is easy to find him. Small stand but always a queue.
With ash or not, all the cheeses are offered fresh, demi or dry. It is just as you like it. I go for the demi.
Fresh eggs and fromage blanc are there too. You can go and visit the farm.
Prices are very reasonable.
