The Westin Dragonara ,Malta.

I am in Love with Malta. With 7,000 years of history, the Maltese Islands are steeped in culture and heritage. The Islands went through a golden Neolithic period, the remains of which are the mysterious megalithic temples dedicated to the goddess of fertility. Later on, the Phoenicians, the Carthaginians, the Romans and the Byzantines, all left their traces on the Islands.

The arts have always played a large role in Maltese culture and continue to do so with cultural events occurring frequently. The National Museum of Fine Arts, housed in an exuberant Rococo building dating from the 1570’s, exhibits some magnificent art, ranging from the early Renaissance to modern times.

And of course their is a vibrant, busy night life as well. If you stay at Saint Julian, you will be pleased. Especially if you choose the “Westin Dragonara“. Out of the noise but still in the district of Saint Julian. I stayed in a de luxe sea view room and it was really something. Enjoy breakfast on your terrace. Of course I enjoyed to stay as well in one of the junior suite.

The bars and the restaurans are really good. Lot of local specialties. The service is classy and charming. Ask the Concierge for a car with a chauffeur it is not expensive and if you go to visit Mdina, you wont regret as parking is a nighmare. Same when you go to Valetta. In this very nice hotel, all the staff is so pleasant and smiling. You will find a lot of very nice restaurants in a walking distance, around the hotel.

I am ready to go back.
